Vejer de la Frontera

We spent a few days in the lovely "pueblo blanco" or white town or Vejer de la Frontera. Lots of walking up and down very steep, often cobblestone streets and lanes and stairways.

Even in the newer part of town, buildings are all white and the contrast with colourful flowers is wonderful.

The wall and gates surrounding the oldest part of town were impressive.

The Plaza de Paz (Peace Plaza) has pots on various walls in all the colours of the rainbow.

This tower is part of a private house but you can enter and enjoy the patios and the tower (with its great views) for a donation to help maintain it. Luckily I am getting better with heights and didn't mind being up there.
